What This Position Is All About:

HBC is in the midst of a significant transformation of its Finance function, encompassing processes, systems and organization.  The move to Cloud/SaaS applications is a key component of this transformation.  This move is pushing increasing responsibility to the Finance Systems team in terms of support of critical applications and leadership role in identification of opportunities to streamline processes/operations and implement these solutions. 

 

The Senior Associate, Finance Systems will support our Finance teams globally in ongoing operations and maintenance of our Finance applications.  She/He will also be expected to identify and support the adoption of new functionalities/capabilities as the both the applications and Finance operational demands evolve.  The individual in this role will be required to interact directly as part of daily operations with Finance stakeholders in the business. 

 

This role requires a strong team player who will be expected to manage multiple demands on her/his time while maintaining a strong customer centric view.  As a member of a single, global team, she/he will also require strong communications skills and ?virtual team? experience.  The breadth of skills and experience provides in this role provides a strong development opportunity for the right candidate at the leading edge of the transformation of broader Finance.

 
Who You Are:
  • The successful candidate must be a proactive self-starter with a dynamic and resilient nature able to work and lead in a fast-paced.
  • He/she will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to engage with stakeholders across the business and provide critical input to business teams.
  • This individual will have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with strict adherence to deadlines.
You also have:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of diverse finance applications experience is required;
  • Demonstrated experience with/exposure to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP required;
  • Experience with/exposure to Oracle Cloud GRC suite applications, Oracle Web Services and/or interface support is strongly preferred;
  • Technical skills/knowledge of BI Publisher, OTBI, Essbase, SmartView and SQL highly desired
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Finance teams to understand business requirements and translate these into process flows/narratives and functional specifications;
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with both finance/business stakeholders and technical staff;
  • Written communication skills, including technical documentation and training materials;
  • Self-starter able to work with virtual/remote supervision with an honest, positive attitude, able adapt to a changing environment while maintaining customer service excellence.
  • Strong Microsoft skills, including PowerPoint, Excel and Project.
  • Bachelor?s Degree in either information systems or accounting/finance is required

As the Senior Associate, Finance Systems, you will:

  • Work closely with user/stakeholders in the ongoing implementation, expansion and operations of Fusion cloud (ERP, HCM/Payroll);
  • Co-ordinate the execution of monthly patch/upgrade testing across our functional teams;
  • Develop, maintain and trouble-shoot workflow processes;
  • Support development & implementation of new functions and processes;
  • Assist in development of analytics/reporting;
  • Ensure adherence to GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) across Finance systems and support Audit requirements;
  • Analyse and troubleshoot systems/operations issues identified by end users to successful conclusion.
  • Support strategic projects across other Finance applications and the intersect of Finance and other areas of HBC?s overall business;
  • Work closely with IT, other areas of the business and third-party vendors in achieving overall Finance Transformation goals
