What This Position Is All About:

 

The Analyst, IT Security will be accountable for the safety of HBC's data and systems depending on the team's area of focus. This role will be responsible for protecting HBC's digital assets and information by establishing, enforcing and improving system access controls and security policies. This may also include support, managing access to systems and information, monitoring, alerting and remediation of security incidents within service levels, etc. The Senior Analyst, IT Security will also assist in establishing security controls best practices, assist in meeting audit and compliance requirements, etc.

  • Good documentation and communication skills

You also have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-4 years or greater in Information Security domain
  • CISSP/Security+/GSEC preferred
  • ITIL Foundation or Practitioner a plus
  • Knowledge of Security standards (NIST/PCI DSS/ISO)
  • Ability to define and optimize business processes/procedures
  • Experience securing enterprise-scale systems
  • Experience coordinating with remote team personnel 
  • Security incident and event management (SIEM), remediation, controls and tools, e.g., qradar, splunk, threat matrix, etc.
  • Antimalware, digital certificates, penetration testing, security and compliance management, encryption standards, firewall rule management, etc.

As the Analyst, IT Security, you will:

 

  • Meets IT security's service and quality levels in managing security alerts
  • Establishes and improves security standards, policies and procedures to implement security best business practices
  • Establishes and optimizes security's team performance by enhancing the alignment between business processes and business objective
  • Identifies and performs complex process analysis functions, documents and executes existing processes, performs complex gap analysis between current and desired state, makes recommendations, performs and leads new process design
  • Prioritizes workload and accomplishes assignments on time, ensuring deliverables are high quality
  • Identifies and escalates issues and risks to quality completion of tasks; provide recommendations and assist in mitigation of risks
