Job Description

Major Responsibilities

 

The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day Inventory Integrity & Gross Profitr processing and must demonstrate a high degree of customer orientation to meet the needs of internal customers / business partners. The position will require processing activities for On Hands Integrity (Inventory) and Stock Ledger including balancing, control and analytical reviews of CMS and the Stock Ledger.  

 

Primary Role responsibilities include:

 

  • Daily, weekly, and monthly processing and balancing of data flowing to the stock ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness

  • Adding additional information to the system generated reports as pre-determined and ensuring final reports are shared to the common directory

  • Prepare analytical reporting, as required

  • Prepare Account Reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis

  • Analyze and research all discrepancies/exceptions in the process, This may involve raising an IT ticket for the IT team to resolve the issue including follow up.

  • Prepare Unit adjustments affecting Inventory Integrity, ensuring they are processed accurately and on a timely basis. This has a direct impact on customer shopping experience in locating merchandise in stores

  • Preparation and tracking of control reports, ensuring action is taken to resolve any discrepancies

  • Assist in review of store / warehouse on hands inventory and margin reporting to identify any unusual results that requires investigation

  • Preparation and distribution of reports in accordance with agreed timelines

  • Investigate and address any interface issues. escalate and resolve as needed

  • Perform GP calculation validation to confirm system accuracy.

  • Prepare period end entries and reconciliations ensuring completeness,  accuracy and in accordance with the HBC close schedule

  • Assist in testing activities for new systems implementations impacting stock ledger.

He/she will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to engage with stakeholders across the business. This individual will have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with strict adherence to deadlines.

 

Job Qualifications

Professional Qualifications

  • Strong financial aptitude with minimum 2 to 4 years of work experience in Corporate Finance with MNCs/GICs, with preference to Retail industry focused on Gross Profit, Stock Ledger and Inventory functions specifically within the retail industry

  • Experience in Oracle ERP (Oracle Fusion Preferred), CMS (Retek) and Stock Ledger / Gross Margin systems

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

 

Educational Credentials

 

B. Com (Mandatory) or College Degree with Major in Business / Accounting
