What This Position Is All About: 

Help The Bay deliver high-quality, trend-right, and luxury merchandise to our Store and Online customers! By contributing to the Center for Acceleration ML/AI  team using data science and Machine learning skills, you will add value to multiple functions and business units across the company by helping the team(s) make high impact business decisions and build ML/AI solutions.

As a Data Scientist you will: 

• Lead the development of machine learning products and models from inception to production
• Own the modeling and feature engineering process for current and future predictive analytics projects.
• Identify areas for ML/AI opportunities and demonstrate to internal clients how ML/AI can improve their business
• Communicate and collaborate across the wider organization, influencing decisions without direct authority with inclusive, adaptable and persuasive communication
• Summarizes statistical findings and draws conclusions, presents actionable business recommendations.
• Lead by example, helping other team members learn and improve, to level up the team's technical capabilities and business awareness.
• Maintain and expand your knowledge of ML/AI and current technology through training opportunities, conferences, etc.

Must haves:

1. Four year degree or equivalent experience

2. 3+ years of relevant data science experience

3. Strong analytical, forecasting, problem solving, and detail orientation

4. Proficient models development skills with different AI/ML frameworks such as Keras, Pytorch, Tensor Flow, 5cikit-Learn

6.  Fluency in SQL and Python is required, Dataiku and Snowflake is considered an asset

7. A strong team player and self-starter with a passion to learn new tools & technology

8. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Good to haves:

1. Experience in retail and/or Apparel/Fashion industry

2. Working experience in dealing with North America stakeholders

3. M.Sc. in Computer Science or other post-graduation degree
