What This Position Is All About:

The Sr IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing on site IT Support to Saks India in Bangalore. The Sr IT Support Engineer will look after all IT systems, including end user devices (e.g. Laptops, Desktops and Peripherals), Google apps, audio/ video conference, etc. Provides hands and feet support to PBX, servers, data & voice circuits. Demonstrating solid understanding of how to evaluate, deploy, configure and troubleshoot current IT systems, the Sr IT Support Engineer will also research new technologies and leverage optimization techniques to ensure that systems operate efficiently.

Key to this role, the Sr IT Support Engineer provides a strong and dedicated customer service, able to provide first class support with the end-user in mind, whilst balancing user needs and security policies. The successful candidate will be flexible and open to learning new technologies and skills to enhance both individual and team technical capability in line with Saks values and goals & objectives.

You Also Have

  • Provide 1st line support for computer hardware, software, and peripheral components to ensure a stable environment for the offices.
  • Coordinate and execute implementation of infrastructure for new end users.
  • Coordinate installation of systems by remote engineers.
  • Provide hands and feet support/ initial trouble shooting steps for all network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, voice, video, file/print servers, laptops, desktops, and cabling as well as transmission and telecommunications devices required by the business before engaging the platform teams.
  • Leverage organization IT standards, solutions, processes and techniques to maximize the efficiency of all computer systems.
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improving the overall network health by assessing overall effectiveness and efficiency.

As the Senior Analyst, IT Support  Will:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in providing IT Support in a captive environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of Windows 10 and 11.
  • Knowledge and experience of Apple Mac OS.
  • Experience of OS installation, application installation, processes, registry, patches, RDP, Sysprep and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using PC and Server hardware (including network interfaces, hard drive configurations and installation of hardware components and drivers).
  • Good knowledge of standard software packages (including GSuite for Business, MS Office applications, Antivirus, Backups, etc.).
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g. Systems, Protocols, Directory Services).
  • Knowledge of telecommunication systems, LAN and WAN technologies.
