What This Position is All About:

Import Analyst’s major responsibilities are to support HBC Import Operations for tasks related to customs clearance, import accounting, and auditing.  This position will reports to the Import Director.

You Also Have:

  • College or University graduation
  • 2+ years’ experience in Retail, and prefer to have 2+ years’ experience in supply chain, logistics, sourcing, or imports, and financial/accounting acumen will be a plus
  • Good computer skills especially in Excel, MS Access and SQL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage projects and adhere to deadlines
  • Understand HBC CMS Retek, BIS, Centric PLM and HBC Imports Accounting systems will be a plus
  • Strong communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under deadline pressure
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to learn new tasks quickly
  • Positive Attitude, flexible and team player

 

As The Analyst, Import Operations, You Will:

  • Assist in the customs release, auditing, and accounting activities for all imports
  • Support the Import Director with tasks related to Financial month-end closing
  • Interact and follow up with  HBC buying groups and HBC’s Customs broker to resolve any issues/discrepancies, in order to ensure HBC shipments are released on time and correctly
  • Work with vendors to collect missing documents or information
  • Serve as the first point of contact with issues related to the Import Accounting system and work cross-functionally to resolve the issues
  • Answer Centric PLM related requests from the other business teams
  • Provide Imports Accounting system and Centric PLM system training as per request (internal and external stakeholders)
  • Manage import and owned brand reporting requirements for all stakeholders
