HBC India, Bangalore

Reporting Relationships:

 

Senior Associate, Payroll within the O5 Finance & Accounting team reporting to the Team Lead

 

 

As a Payroll Senior Associate, You Will:

 

  • Perform accurate and timely completion of payroll processing tasks, payroll reconciliations and report distribution.
  • Specialization in certain activities /Tasks like new starters, maintenance of existing employees, leaves, Employment verification, etc.
  • Manage the company garnishment and tax process
  • Support new system implementation project and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to Payroll and HR policies, internal control and audit requirements, and service standards at all times.
  • Ensure all required period end close activities are completed according to the close schedule.
  • Review accounting entries / month end account reconciliations as part of period end close activities.
  • Ensures proper documentation of and adherence to payroll business processes.
  • Assists in collecting payroll operation benchmark metrics and track monthly reports/metrics to show trends and potential improvement opportunities.  Effectively communicate results to management.
  • Support, as required, any government audits or requests for information.

 

Who You Are:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a Finance & Commerce and comparable Payroll experience.  
  • Must understand US/Canada payroll fundamentals, policies, taxes and regulations.
  • Experience on Workday Payroll system
  • Must have 2-5 years of US/Canada payroll experience.  
  • Must have experience with reconciling financial records.
  • Must be proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and Office.
  • Aptitude to learn concepts and new tasks quickly
  • Excellent team spirit, supportive of team mates, with flexible attitude is imperative
  • Work well under pressure
  • Self-driven with personal initiative
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
